I Can Hear You

Scene Leela's Bedroom. Leela wakes up on her bed.
Leela: 'What happened? Why am I in my apartment?
Farnsworth's, Zoidberg's, Hermes' and Amy's faces appear on her walls.
Farnsworth, Zoidberg, Hermes and Amy: (chanting) 'You killed Fry! You killed Fry! You killed Fr...!
Leela: 'Stop it! Stop it!
She tears their faces down like paper. Bender appears on the floor.
Bender: 'You killed Fry!
She grabs the hover and sucks him up.
Leela: 'OK, I'm insane! But I'm still sane enough to know it. [She looks at a photo of Fry on her bedside.] The only time I feel alright is in my dreams, with you. [She takes the jar of honey.] Three spoonfuls. Then I can dream forever. [She starts to eat.] One. Two [She dips in a third time.] Here goes. Goodbye, waking world.
She moves the spoon towards her mouth.
Fry's Photo: 'Leela! No! [A bee flies past.] Listen to me, you don't want to lie in bed like a vegetable and do nothing the rest of your life. I've tried it. Bedsores hurt!
Leela: (crying) 'Then what am I s'posed to do?
Fry's Photo: 'Fight it!
Leela: (crying) 'I can't!
Fry's Photo: 'You can! The Leela I know doesn't give up this easily.
Leela: 'OK. I'll try. [The bee buzzes past her again. She waves her arm around.] Go away!
She throws the jar at it, misses, the jar breaks and bee flies away Leela picks up Fry's photo and holds it tightly.
Fry's Photo: 'Good miss. But I don't know if you can hear me, Leela, [Leela speaking: 'I can hear you] but there's something I wanna tell you. I-I love you.
Leela: (crying) 'You do? Without the worms?
Fry's Photo: 'Just wake up, Leela. Please. Just wake up.
Leela: (crying) 'Answer my question! You love me without the worms?!
Fry's Photo: 'Just wake--
Cut to Hospital Room. Leela is in a bed and Fry is sat at her side. His jacket is draped around her, her eyelid flutters and opens. She looks around. .
Fry: (crying) 'Up!
Leela: 'Fry. You're alive!
Fry: 'Leela! You're awake!
Leela: 'Of course I'm awake. You wouldn't stop waking me. [She looks around.] Where am I?
Fry: 'In the hospital. The ambulance took you here right after the bee stung you.
Leela: 'Ok whatever. Get onto this bed and lie down next to me.
Fry: 'Un, Ok.
Fry gets onto the bed and lies down next to Leela and she warps her arms around him.
Leela: 'Did you really mean it, when you said "I love you"?
Fry: 'You heard that?
Leela nods.
Fry: 'Yeah, I did and I still do.
Leela: 'I love you too.
She rubs her nose against Fry's nose, closes her eye and presses her lips against his and makes-out with him, he dares to his arms around her, she does not reject. The rest of the staff of Planet Express walk in and gasp.
Bender: 'Whoa! Love is the air!
Zoidberg: 'Craw! I'm getting [his head fin pops up] aroused.
Leela pulls out of the kiss.
Leela: 'Do you mind if give us five minutes?
The staff walk out, Leela presses her lips against Fry's lips and makes-out with him again.
5 minutes later.
Leela pulls out of the kiss.
Leela: 'You're coming home with me tonight, and every night. And Bender will bring your stuff over once I give him $5.
Fry: 'I love you, Leela. Were together at last!
Leela: (whispering) 'Together,[she hugs him] At last. You know, you could really use a shower.
Fry: '(whispering) 'You too.
Leela sniffs her right armpit.
Leela: ''Ew! [moves her head away from it]You're right. But we can do it together in my shower at home. [caressing Fry's chest and speaking sexfully] And who knows, what we'll be up to in there.
Hermes: (from outside the door) 'It's been five minutes, and a bit over. Can we come in now?
Leela: 'Sure.
The staff walk in.
Bender: 'You were in the best coma I've ever seen! So tell me when you gonna dump Fry?
Leela: 'I'm never, ever ever, gonna dump Fry.
Bender: 'Sure that's what they all say and--
Amy: 'Bender, shut up. Anyway the doctor said you'd never wake up.
Leela: 'Really? How long was I out?
Amy: 'Two weeks. Fry never left your side for a minute.
Bender: 'And heres another thing.
Bender lifts up his shirt. There is a patch where his wound was.
Bender: 'The stinger went right through him and you got all the poison. His new spleen came from a guy who liked to motorcycle.
Zoidberg: 'And my another thing is, he talked non-stop. Like a parrot of the sea, he was!
Fry: 'I though that maybe if you heard a familiar voice it might help keep your mind together. But who knows if it really got through.
Leela: 'You can be so silly sometimes.[She hugs him] I heard every word. I love you Fry.
Fry: 'I love you too.
The staff all cheer.
Bender: 'Woo!
Zoidberg: 'I'm gonna get me some hospital food!
Closing Credits.
Leela: [whispering; over credits] 'Fry?
Fry: [whispering; over credits] 'Hmmm?
Leela: [whispering; over credits] 'You still got you're ring from the time skips?
Fry: [whispering; over credits] 'Yeah. How did you know?
Leela: [whispering; over credits] 'A lucky guess I presume. Anyway I'd like to wear it very soon on my left ring finger.
Fry: [whispering; over credits] 'But Leela don't we need to be remarr--
Leela: [whispering; over credits] 'That's what I was getting at. And I kept mine too for you if I wanted to marry you again in the lat future. Which will be now in the near future.
